The Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS) is still around.  You might try contacting them to see what they might have in their files:   https://loyallegion.org   As far as what to put it in, most of us use "Riker" cases...or other brands in the same style...Ruddles Mills products being the most widely used.   These cases come in many different sizes and thicknesses.  They are black framed glass cases with padding inside.  For your use, the padding can be trimmed away for the medal box.   The problem is unless you go to a Show the shipping gets expensive, and online many places want to sell you these in case lots.     Some Forum members sell these, and hopefully can chime in with what you need.   I am NOT suggesting you buy these from this link, but this will give you an idea what the cases look like and some of the various sizes.  I think at a Show the case size you need would be plus or minus around $8:   https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08WBYWWD4?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback&th=1    

Great photos and what a great jeep! If I remember correctly, my windshield brackets also still had the original TR 20-marked bolts.   I would also like to see the air horn on the carburettor's side if possible, to see if my theory about these is correct. 🫣
