...and now for something completely different   United States Army Corps of Engineers USACE Towboat M/V Sergeant Floyd In 1975 she was rebuilt as a floating Bicentennial exhibit for the Army Corps of Engineers. For 18 months Sergeant Floyd toured the inland and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, bringing to thousands of Americans the story of how the Army Corps of Engineers contributed to the development of our country.  

Thank you!   Back in the 1970's, his Medal of Honor was stolen when my grandmother's home in Boulder, Colorado was broken into.   My kids and I want to do everything we can to protect his Mollus Medal.  Really appreciate your reply!

It's definitely WWII vintage but I'm not sure if it's issued. I have a brushed wool type like that too.

I'm sure they were but in what quantities I don't know. Supply issues prevented lots of troops from getting cold-weather gear so many came from the red cross and from home in this case.
