I went through hundreds of Korean War uniforms on eBay and didn't see a single one with colored name tape outside of the often found white with black font 

The only AR for blue dress army uniforms used by enlisted men I was able to find is dated 1936 I am curious to know if anyone could find out something dated 1938, because for what I can see the only thing that truly changed are the hat bands, for all the rest they are not changed.

A little update on reworking these tired old blades. New tang ends built up and and the hole built up and hole filled then cleaned up along with a new pommel made.

I can't seem to find another one to compare value too, but I have seen people share some of the colored name tapes that they have on here. Not sure if adds much value or any at all? He was a mine sweeper in the Korean War.

I've identified an error in my post here- the Canadian Commercial Corp is not a Canadian company, it's simply the Canadian foreign sales office. Thus, any contract documentation for military purchases from Canada will list CCC as the contractor regardless of the actual maker (for example RJ Stampings is also listed as CCC on their M1 helmet shell contracts)   This still demonstrates that the W.C. Wood canteen cup purchases were from the Canadian branch rather than the US branch in my opinion, otherwise there would be no need to contract through Canada's Government to Government sales office

Very interesting, I also purchased one of Fred Braemer’s wings at an auction last year. The “Ken” that Fred references was possibly Ken Lazier, a collector that was active in the 70s and apparently claimed he ran a museum and requested and obtained items from high profile veterans for his “museum.”    You can find my post from when I acquired them on this forum.  Don’t know how to link the post.

These are Pocket Patches, these being a cloth copy of a unit's metal unit crest, these worn on the left pocket of fatigue shirts and field jackets in the 50s trough the 60s by units that had them. Fashion fell out basically by mid 70s, with some exceptions.   These will be for the 137th Infantry Regiment and worn by either the 1st and or 2nd Battalions 137th Infantry of the 69th Infantry Brigade (Separate).   All you PPs are good period ones, the lack of rear bobbin thread is merely  a maker variation.   Here's one from around 1968-70.full color ones still being worn despite the introduction of subdues insignia.
