      They appear to be “thin letter” 1940’s era “Patch King” patches made for collectors. Check EBay SOLD listings to see what they actually sell for.  Mainly look at the lower prices (realistic value) There will always be a “2nd Ranger D Day” scroll that some uninformed collector bites on for way too much money.

      I'm glad I found this thread!! I picked this up to add to my Corpsman collection. Glad I know what it is now! It is a lovely 'depot-tan colour'. Well used, and has an additional number stencil on the sides 40427. Cheers!
