. Servicing the Jeep . . . . . . . . .   I don't have any garage lift to raise the Jeep for servicing,  but as I am still currently fit and able to do so,  I lay underneath the Jeep for servicing the gearbox, transfer case and greasing the grease nipples etc, I generally work outdoors on the grass and use this board I made some years ago to lay on. It's about five feet by three feet and half-inch thick.  And if it ain't broke don't fix it,  just grease it  !!!!!!     Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 03 July  2O26.   ..

. Hi Yokota,   Well the photo of all the women on board that Jeep takes me back to 1976 when I was on a large convoy of WWII vehicles, I was participating with my then girlfriend Derrie.   I drove Derrie and myself down into the local village in my Jeep from our final campsite of the trip,  we sat on the terrace outside a restaurant for a meal and drinks, slowly we were joined by other friends that had walked down into town.  At the end of the evening there were thirteen people and I had the only Jeep, everyone climbed aboard and we headed bak to the campsite in the dark through the country lanes.  We were all young, adventurous and laughing, I pulled the hand throttle out on the dash to regulate the speed and stood on the seat with the wheel trapped between my knees and arms outstretched either side, we arrived safely back at the campsite and I have to finish the story there, as more fun and games occurred on the campsite which are best left undivulged.  Ask me when we are sat having a beer one night !!!!     Norman D. . Then & Now search . . . . . . . .   ok not WWII and not even a military connection but an interesting photograph of a cafe' in Carentan dated 1915 sent to me by a friend, I feel the need to try and locate the building if there are enough clues left today to identify it.  Carentan didn't suffer much building damage during WWII so I am hopeful     Norman D. Cool. Looks like the inspiration for "Creature from the Black Lagoon".

Appreciate you looking for me, do you think the ribbon bar is tampered with and maybe the badge as well? The rest of the grouping contains some ripped out pages of a diary and various documents along with dog tags.
