As Tonomachi stated these Wings were made by an as yet unknown maker. They have also been attributed as the first Glider Assault Wings issued to the 101st.   Here is a side-by-side comparison of the tilted and horizontal leading edge of the Glider Wing. Yours seems to be the horizontal version that has a more refined look IMHO.

The HBT weave does give off parachute harness vibes, but definitely not parachute webbing.

For thee first time in my life we've seen the Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 was nicknamed the General Scott or Scott, like the Sherman, Stuart, etc, never heard it called by this, like  even the vintage Tamiya kit doesn't have Scott on the box art for the kit, it does for the M4 and M3 Tanks.   The November 1944 Research and Development Service Order No. 13-44 The Asterisk next to some indicates nickname in full use by the troops.

Thank you!  I don’t intend to change anything and I’d probably pick the wrong parts if I tried to.   After all, I am only its steward, like my father was.   I honestly wasn’t expecting much in terms of historical importance.  I will say that I was a little disappointed to find no “goodies” when I opened the butt plate door. But man, it sure reeked of grease.     A buddy of mine’s father was in the Navy in the Pacific at the end of WWII, and he remembers his dad recounting how he worked for many hours in the hot sun, tossing stacks and stacks of M1s into the drink.

I missed this one. @ Tonomachi. Congratulations, the wing has found a good home.   I don't see any problems with this wing either and don't think any others will turn up. Yesterday I asked the seller where the wing came from, the answer was: I got these wings on an old children’s beanie hat of all things. Researching it, I could tell it was pretty rare. The seller sells all kinds of pins.

I found these buttons pinned to a piece of fabric at an okd upstate NY estate. One small button (looks like a cap or cuff type, but smaller than normal) may be an 1800s USMC button. One that features an eagle on a shield flanked by flags. The others appear Navy related, but I can't seem to find a positive ID on them through Google image, etc. Only two have maker marks on the reverse. Any help would be appreciated.
