👍 Yep. You beat me to it. The movie title is also the name of a book by one of the “Jill’s”, Carole Landis. It’s about their USO tour. I have a copy of it somewhere. -

I’ve heard various time periods for this badge from WW2 to post WW2. I love this style badge. Above is a post of the many various pieces with different makers marks. -

I have found this information about a soldier whose patch I recently purchased. This is from Fold3. I’m wondering if there are any records of his specific unit(s) in Europe? Arthur G. Anderson - ASN 34640101 Born: August 15, 1917 in Stephens County, GA Died: August 18th, 2014 War Involvement: October 16, 1940 – Registered for the draft in Swainsboro, Georgia. December 24, 1942 – Drafted into the Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina (ASN 34640101). 1943–1944 – Coast Artillery at Camp Hayden, Washington. Late 1944 or early 1945 – Transferred overseas as an infantry replacement. Served in Europe through the end of the war. 1947 – Married Lucy Ellen Chapman and settled in Macon, Georgia. Any more info is greatly appreciated! Love this extra provenance 🙌 - Shannon -

"... they saw an old Jeep sitting in a small village outside Prague, they enquired at all the houses within the village and the story was it had been sat there abandoned by Russian troops since WWII, so they set about recovering it, as it was not owned by anyone in the village..." > Holy Moly, GA - just holy moly, and I'm so glad I asked in the first place.
