Stocks of 6.5mm and 7.7mm continued to be used up until at least the 60 from its introduction. I’ve actually seen Japanese rifles and machine guns being used by Kachin and the a few Kayah fairly recently in Burma (now Myanmer) along with all manner of other antiques including M18 recoiled rifles and derivatives of.    The knife itself could range from the 30s to 50s, hard to if not impossible to pin a date unless another very similar example exists with a verifiable chain of custody.

Very well done and quite informative.   This type of items never drew any interest from me but your article was so interesting that I read it all and enjoyed seeing the variety of hats that were worn.   Was there a pith helmet in the Navy at this time?

I can try and go through some officers I've researched on the NAMC medal before and help ya out. I don't remember seeing any one that had it that had a navy cross and Phillipines defense medal with a campaign star but I haven't heard of fakers making embroided ones before. It also looks in the correct order too.

.  Hi Salvage,   photos I have never seen before,  just looking at the hole on the front bumper for the cranking handle, it looks somewhat positioned too high compared to normal placement of the hole.       Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 30  June  2O26.   ..
