Got to say, these English made wings are a bit of a minefield. I’m certainly starting to see the traits that the bad ones exhibit. Should I be seeing round wire C catches across the board on these Fireman made wings in general? -

Detroit and area have had some hard times but it’s bouncing back. There are many people who fell on hard times due to no fault of their own. -

Go through this topic to see the uniform items and insignia worn, you will see a lot of WWII MPs. -

“Ideals are peaceful. History is violent.” - Fury “The worst thing about treating those combat boys from the Great War wasn't that they had had their flesh torn, it was that they had had their souls torn out. I don't want to look in your eyes someday, and see no spark, no love, no... no life. That would break my heart." - Pacific -

Not a favorite line from this movie, but a disturbing one. Paths of Glory Enraged at the total and complete failure of his ill conceived attack on a German fortified position and subsequent retreat from the field , the Brigadier General Paul Mireau shouts at a staff officer "If those little sweethearts won't face German bullets, they'll face French ones!" -

Thank you very much for the information. Is it possible if you could tell me more about the military police enlisted uniform and the gear they were when on duty? Thanks -

It has been a long dry spell on DCUs at all for me (six months), but had good luck earlier today at a surplus store I don't get to often. 1st Lieutenant, Chemical Corps, with a FORSCOM current assignment. CWO2, no name tape, but it did have a theater-made (you can see the white cloth peeking out in the closeup) 500th Military Intelligence Group SSI. Also interesting, a single stripe Airman with Meteorologist Badge and a funky CENTAF patch of a style that I have loose in my collection as well. Last but not least, Adjutant General Lieutenant Colonel with CENTCOM current assignment and a 5th Infantry Division combat patch from Panama! First thing I pulled out of the bin. -

Yes,, occasionally, and I might add the troops themsevles when on a pass in the theater, not just England but in France, Italy, behind the lines, way behind the lines, places like Naples, Rome, etc, Paris, this of course after these places were liberated, but not in Gdermany while the war was on going in 1945, passes were taken in France or Belgium, -
