Desert Uniforms, Patches, and Insignia by Kevin M. Born and Alexander F. Barnes is the book.  If you don't want to buy it, odds are you can get it via Inter-Library Loan at your local library.  If you're interested in DCUs and on Facebook, there's also a collecting group that is a great resource.

June 06, 23, I got one too.  Same sheath, but both were in worse shape that the pictures let on.   Any more ideas?

Google translate says "Naka Ward Military Association Tokyo City Federation."  Probably one of those things a soldier picked up just because it's got Japanese writing on it....I know of many a can of Pepsi that came back from the gulf because they were in Arabic..     Mark sends

Very nice, great that it still has the manual. I've been wanting to get one myself.

I’m glad you did, otherwise I’d of missed it. Fantastic grouping and certainly jealous.

Hello, Today I acquired a nice Confederate block I with a real pretty turquoise green color.  Button was dug in the Orange, VA area.  It has a scarcer brass back. choice button.  I love this color.  I paired it with another dug turquoise button from middle Tennessee.  These two locations can yield the prettiest turquoise items under the right conditions. cheers! Button on the left is today's acquisition. Dug in Orange, VA. Button on right dug middle Tennessee area and acquired about 5 years ago. I love the color of patina. cheers!

Hi everyone, I got this pathfinder patch a few months ago that I believe is a accepted WWII british variation. I had one bad review on it and just getting some peace of mind.    Thank you in advance! John
