Thank you! I usually paint at least the tracks separately. As explained before this was not possible with this kit, what unfortunately means a lot of extra work. I made a mistake. I choosed the wrong sand color for the Paladin. Under artificial light it seemed to look okay (photo # 1) but when exposed to daylight it turned out much too bright (photo #2). I thought about fixing it with filters and washes but finally decided to paint it again. After some more research I ordered new colors which arrived today... -

Some better images whilst I’ve got w moment to myself. It’s certainly seen a bit of use, I actually tried it on with the headset and a number of different sunglasses, AN6531s, D1 goggles and various RAF issue types and all actually fit relatively comfortable in this configuration. -

I have a vague memory of this model canteen being designed to fit a leg pocket of a flight suit. -

This came In a small group. I noticed the odd clutch back for the pin. Once I removed it I noticed right away the maker Assmann a German manufacturer. Pleasantly surprised. -

I am curious about the engraving on this AM. The lettering looks officially engraved to me, but I am not familiar with the s/n being officially engraved as well. -

While great for authenticity, it’s sad to think it will put a “damper” on the occasion. Hope you enjoy yourselves somehow anyway. I do not have any D-Day specific t-shirts, but wore this one in honor of the day. I bought this at my one and only military vehicle meet of anywhere even remotely near the magnitude of this one. I was truly impressed. mikie
