Found this one for cheap at a trift store. First one I've found at a trift store that wasn't stripped. Also had a bonus in the pocket. -

I got this today from a buddy who just collects German. He got it from a U.S. Airborne Collector near Kansas City, who was selling his collection. It came with the book & Medic Arm Band. The collector tucked the arm band under the net to keep everything together. It obvious that helmet was repainted at some point. If they were going to fake the Captain Bars and stripe, I would think that they would fake the 325 unit marking. There is no attempt to age the paint. The name written looks 100% legit. I will post photos and take more if requested. -

Tell me otherwise, but is the one pictured made of light weight white wool? The two that I have are both made of cotton -

Hi :) I already posted this jacket in the "Real or What" section and had some say, that 300 USD is too much for a first pattern and others, that it is a good price... What are your thoughts on this? The seller now got back to me offering 300 USD shipped. Keep in mind, I live in Germany, so there aren't that many first patterns around these waters... Thank you in advance :)) Jules -

The posts are imperfectly placed too. Pretty odd for the maker. -

Very nice finds. As Marshall said, the German camo lined side cap is awesome. -

. Yes I got wet to the skin five times today. Rain storms arrived yesterday lasted over-night and continued this morning, I had a pre-arranged rendezvous with visiting UK friends so I headed out in the Jeep, only one of the people I was meeting owns a Jeep the rest of his travelling companions are 1970's Triumph sports-car owners and he wanted them to see my Jeep. It rained almost all day , I think I was about the only Jeep at the Collins Museum with no canvas hood or windscreen. I have been doing it that way for so long it's second-nature. Norman D.
