Hello, I am fairly certain that is a water pattern jump smock that has been shortened to ground smock size, with added splinter pattern material pocket and sleeve loops. Luftwaffe ground smocks did not have zippered slash pockets and waist pockets. Extremely fantastic bring back find, with the FJ camo baling wire helmet the top dog of the group! -

As stated above, nice British Made cover, 1943 saw the production of the RLL kit ramping up. The Maker is P.S.S. (Princess Silk Shades). They also made covers amongst other items in 1944/5 as well. They only made 10,000 of these in 1943. Carl -

Thought I’d post a pic of my RR, for reference, June 1945…. It is original and unaltered. -

I've sent my carburetor away to be rebuild, it's mainly a collection of (what I believe are) original WW2 parts but I can't remember if the 8-patent bowl has that flange or not. My guess is that this actually is a feature used on pre-war Willys cars and also used on MA's and MB's up to a certain point, which is why it made the manual. There would be no rush to change such a small detail when the flange was removed from the design till the next serious update of the manual I think. -

Nice find, I think that the soldier polished all the details off.
