Thrifting today and found these very cool Cold War US Army Khaki issue shorts. I had seen pictures of AF personnel wearing shorts with the belted safari jacket. However, I never knew the Army had them. -

No expert, but agree it is some kind of costume piece. It does kind of look vaguely reminiscent of the RAF emblem. The screen grab is from Wikipedia. -

Fantastic grouping! Thought it would be worth a share to show a souviner paper from the 323rd Inf on-board the USS Hampton on their way to occupy Japan. Each company wrote a little history, this came from a vet in D Company. -
