The "3 armed triangle" mark is called a Broad Arrow and is the British military acceptance mark. -

No information on the Captain but he looks like he’s from a Pennsylvania reserve infantry unit. I haven’t removed it from the frame which might reveal something. -

The VB-16 patch came from the family of an aviation metalsmith who served within the squadron. The Silver Star and Purple Heart came from an Air Force security man who single handily stopped the VC from overrunning a bunker on the perimeter of an airport. The USMC helmet came with the cover removed and I attempted to get it back on. I love the little Italian porcelain army mountain cap (not US!!), it was at the sale all day Saturday and no one bought it. Please feel free to leave a comment, observation or negative feedback. It will encourage me to continue posting. -

I have only seen DFCs numbered in the bottom edges. What type of broach does this one have? -

Have new cushions on mine but lack the chamois, would be much more comfortable, is it available? Adding some should be relatively easy, were probably glued on originally. -

These wings belong to a friend. Not the best of photos. Does anybody know what they are? They look cast and measure about 2 5/8 inches wide. Thank you for any help. -

Thanks. I was doubtful...the bill material seemed like it didn't belong in the 1800s. -

Your cap looks like a fairly modern reproduction. The front badge is an Army enlisted man's infantry collar disk. It could be from the 1940s up to the present.
