Yes forgot to tell about mechanics of the rifle this is STRAIT PULL BACK IF ANYBODY NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEM.20,000 WERE PURCHASED FOR TRAINING APPARENTLY THERE VERY ACCURATE BUT NOT FOR MUDDY TRENCHES WW1 THINK MARK 3 MADE IT THERE ENFIELD RIFLE .US ARMY ONLY USED THESE FOR TRAINING ENJOY THANKS FOR COMMENTS -

If I remember correctly, the US bought 20,000 of these rifles along with their bayonets. -

Just found out the woodwork. Local find ross Canadian made 303 british ww1 us government bought these for training purposes only never went to the front apparently. Rifle is marked correct flaming ORDANCE US MARKED KIND OF SCARCE MOST HAVE BEEN SPORTIZED BY BUBBA this one is original -

They are, or at least were. I bought a dozen of them at a junk store in Big Spring 30 years back. Most of them went to friends locally. Do you need one? If so I'll ask if any of them still have one
