You are never trying to be rude and or crass Blitz... it just frequently comes off that way. Have you never heard someone say.. I called a million times etc etc...? Or I called 200 times... etc etc ? People do say things like that and most people dont take it literally. Most folks dont take things like that literally...... Your first comment was deleted. So you make  2 more comments saying the same thing. 🤣 Happy Friday Blitz.

Thgis uniform posted looks to be late 50s or early 60s. Not real unusual and the uniform being 6th Army was more a post war reserve or command I recall. A former Marine who became an officer in Army and wore a patch. As far as "authorized" todays regs cant be use for uniforms of 50 to 60 years ago and who would tell him he couldn't wear it?  Hes not in the Corps anymore where patches were stopped being used in 1947.  No different han see int he prior Navy patch on an Army Ike in the 50s. Also in WW2 there were Army units that wore the 1st Marine or 2nd Marine Division patch on the cuff or left shoulder as they had served attached to them in the Pacific and several examples are known to exist and have been posted on USMF. Mostly Americal related uniforms.    On a side note I gave a co-worker a 34th ID WW2 made patch after he got back from Iraq with his guard unit. Thought he would put it in his patch display in his office. When I told him it was WW2 he said really?  and...I'm going to put that on my dress uniform...and he did. He went to a Guard retirement ceremony and pointed it out to a couple officers, and they really thought it was cool...wasnt current "regulation" made merrowed edge patch and they never told him to remove it or replace it with a current one. Be great to see that uniform show up at a thrift store and put people into a spin.

Lol isnt it their job to deliver the mail to the right place? So I would hope they would care about a “stupid helmet”. Crazy that is coming from someone who is supposed to be a collector who is supposed to realize the historical significance of an item. Im sure if you lost something you would do whatever you could to get the item back. I think you’re the one with the issue if youre still continuing to comment. Clearly youre just rage baiting here lol. I won’t entertain it. I cant take you too seriously 😂

I think it’s all legit but just not in regs and sloppy.  He must have been a sloppy officer, hard to believe he made it so high with a uniform like that

I wasn’t trying to be rude or crass but seriously 200 times?   Wow!!!
    • blitz67
Or just possibly they are tired of dealing with this guy?   He said he has called them 200 times, do you think they care about some stupid helmet or the fact that this guy is harassing them, bordering on stalking?   Seems to me if he had insured it there would be no problem at all.  Not trying to be contrary but my God!!  200 times??  I think the original poster might have an issue

did you miss the part about him calling them 200 times?  Or the other 80 calls he made?  He’s lucky the post service doesn’t have him arrested for harassment!!!

Seems that issue with the carrier should be taken up with a higher office then the local postmaster. The one we have here is barely at her job and doesnt seem to help if she is. I think I would file a complaint or start with the postal inspector for that area or go up the ladder further. Tampering with mail is suppose to be a crime but seems this isnt the case anymore. I recall not to long ago a postal employee was caught dumping mail in a ravine as he wasnt wanting to deliver the amount of packages he was getting assigned daily....there were hundreds of packages.
