So, I have always known this as the Submarine School insignia. There are generally about half a dozen on eBay at any one time and they are always referred to as “WWII”. I see them at shows and on line, no hall mark or sterling marked, generally in the $100-$200 price range. Here is my question, why, no matter how much I search, can I find no original official or even unofficial documentation or photos of these? All I ever get is tribal knowledge that is completely inconclusive. I don’t really doubt that it is Sub School, but I’m thinking post WWII, more KW. Is there anyone out there that has a photo of one of these being worn? Seeking any information available that is conclusive. Here is a screenshot of one on eBay.   Thanks, John

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I hope I'm not making any mistakes. I've just acquired a US M1928 backpack from Private Michael J. Krufyowsji. I'd like to know if he survived, if possible, because his backpack has battle damage and blood. I'd like to know if it's possible to post photos. I'd rather not. Thanks.or better not tank you

That's pretty cool. I assume that there is no back to them to allow for a parachute?    The Mid Atlantic Air Museum's restoration of their P-61 is an incredible thing, their site is worth checking out if you have not done so already.   The Widow’s Web – The Mid Atlantic Air Museum   Here are a few pics of their P-61 seats, copied from their website, for reference to yours.
