M2A2 Aiming Circle has a different elbow/prism optic site vs the "half binocular" construction of the M2. Attachement to the tripod is also different, without that gimbal you see on the bottom of the M2. M2A2 is what was used to lay in the Company level 81mm and 4.2in/107mm replaced by M120 120mm Battalion level mortars when I got out in 1996 -

Evidently it's a permit for driving on the beach for fishing. Apparently they only allow a limited number of permits per year to prevent to many vehicles on the beach. -

Here is my contribution to jeeps on things. Here is a license plate from the state of Delaware I saw the other day. It’s not military related, but it’s a jeep nonetheless. No idea what or why, but it’s a nice design. mikie
