These pics and offering of his un-named DFC showed up on the FB page Mil Collectible DoND. Interesting he’s wearing the 4th AF patch into the 50s. -

This is US made. There are Thai made variations. It's pretty rare to find the paperwork with the patch, nice find! Randy -

There is a de-plating process, but you'll end up with a gun that's worth the same as if one would have left it plated. As it is, you'll have the nicest pistol at the BBQ. -

Much less exciting than most of the posts here, a Coat, Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform modified with short-sleeves. USAF Senior Information Management/Administration Badge over a Basic Transportation Badge. -

Ah, sorry - Looks like I was redundant in finding the same link as posted above. -

Plating can be removed, but it's a long process and it doesn't help the markings or the value. There's a company in Florida that will do it, but it can take them up to a year to do it right (to include blueing the parts after the plating is removed). -

jumpship you found that old topic fast, thanks, wonder if its put together now, just did a up close view of the area above the U.S. ARMY Tape and not seeing evidence of cloth jump wings, or it is there but hard to see, but check out the other side, the Rigger Wings are sewn kinda crooked, and we do see ghosting of a Patch there. like ARVN stuff. Om it being worn this Murray ROTC patch by a U.S. Army instructor, maybe, but these guys tended to wear an Army patch Ie 5th Army, 3rd Army etc.
