Picked up a couple of these along with an early US Coast Guard "Superior Quality" in a spot where I've picked some good stuff before. I've Included two different pictures of the front of the button with different light intensities. I'm no expert on buttons and the lack of backmark made we wonder if these were later replicas.  I've heard that some early/period buttons had no backmarks, but with the good condition of these it made me suspect.   Measures 23 mm in diameter   Any opinions or info is appreciated.   Thanks!

It does not have directions, but I know I saw them somewhere.  Perhaps in Brophy ?

Oh really it's mid war.so it's ww2 correct how about that you can tell that fast I was trying to figure out the peening part these knives are tricky if not experienced in them never got burnt on one I know others have thanks sir

Bought this cheap at yard sale in tool box of stuff.have some experience with ww2 fighting knives but not alot.is this 1943 or late war thanks guys.no big deal if post war or reproduction don't have much money in it

I'm not sure what that is but I'm sure we'll all wait and likely hear nothing of it. I almost posted pics of some AAF officer's shirts, sleeves with double "slots", etc. but then realized it isn't really needed here.  As one of our very knowledgeable moderators already has said, I'm outa here.
