My grandfather does not remember his unit, but he was in a tank in Germany in 1962. That's about all I have if I can get more info out of him, I will post it. My grandfather's name is James Hughes -

When my wife and I were first married (1976) our neighbor's last name was Newberry and related to the J.J. Newberry department store family. At one point he showed me his great great grandfather's Naval Officers Sword, Rear Admiral John Newberry. Annapolis grad of 1846, served in The Mexican American and Civil Wars. Promoted to Rear Admiral in 1886. I was young and foolish then ( no longer young but still foolish at times) and didn't really appreciate what I was holding and seeing. -
