At least that's what I think it says. Picked up this sign at the city wide garage sale in Minster, Ohio. It's made of a heavy gauge of steel, 2 feet long and has the same thing on the other side. Based on the paint /color scheme, any guess as to age? I'm a sucker for signs and for $20, I bought it. -

I’m interested in the 36th/45th/77th Divisions in particular. And there’s quite a big D Day emphasis for the American kit. -

The metal frame thing has a little bit of a shape of the front end of a car. You can always say you assembled a jeep but it does have the windshield up. ...Kat -

A few more pics of the room. I’m on ‘Recruit’ status, so I’m fairly limited to daily posts. -

Another special gem is my NIB Sierra Engineering-made T56-6 CVC helmet. I was able to see enough of the nape strap to read the details: Manufactured by Sierra Engineering, size regular, contract number DSA-1-4567-64-E, and June 1964. This contract produced helmets that used the old MK-525/G headset-microphone kit and the newer MK-1039/G headset-microphone kit. Unfortunately I didn’t look for this, but I believe it was a MK-525/G. In the last photo you can see the plastic bag with the foam earphone adjusting disks. Oh, I forgot to mention, someone wrote “Army Helmet” in black marker on a large part of the box’s exterior. Fortunately, they didn’t deface the details. -

And the 1917A1 was still hanging on and would still be hanging on to some extent on Guadal Canal. -

Another outstanding build, Manny. Love the background as it really gives this diorama that extra POP.
