Were OD loops ever used on Vietnam era made boonie hats? The ones I have seen have used TS matching material.  Just wondered if anyone has an example of one with OD loops? Thanks for any help.

I don't think it is a bad price however the same seller sold it for significantly less ($37.00) a week or two ago... guess he cancelled the sale. I had it in my watch list as a Cairo retailer for these is some-one harder to come by and forgot to bid. I still think it's in the realm of a decent price with the American connection and may turn up some interesting research. Feedback of 2 bothers me however you have the ebay money back guarantee. Hit them with an offer of $225.00. Again Cairo, Sudan, Port Said, Palestine, Jerusalem are difficult city-based retailers to find and think they add a bit of romantic intrigue to the piece.  

Fascinating. What I can tell you is that the folks who acquired it are close friends and watch out for militaria for me. This came from a rural estate, and descendanrs of the uniforms owner. My friends sa8d they had absolutely no interest in the family military items they had found and practically gave these items to my friends. So, this is a curious scenario. 

I’m not Matt, but I don’t think he’ll mind:   The battalion left the NY Port of Embarkation on 27 Feb 44, arrived in England on 8 Mar 44 and arrived in France on 4 Aug 44. They were given campaign credit for the Rhineland Campaign During Aug 45, the battalion was in Nancy, FR and returned to the USA during Oct 45. Source: Stanton, Shelby.
