Hello Is this a Civil war era US Officers Belt and buckle? I was told, (hard to read) that the belt marking is watervleit Arsenal NY. The Buckle is marked #326. There is also a mark on the belt leather -it appears that it is GB?? Thank you -

Bannermans had thousands of them. It was common for dealers to pull the NY state plate off and put a 1881 US plate on. -
