I'm amazed that stuff was still to be found in those woods after all the years of people using detectors on it. These would probably have been dug up and left behind as far too dangerous to start messing about with. I was just thinking about Bois Jacques this week. Had news from San Jose Ca. to say that a good friend Bob Kotchian had passed on Monday. We took Bob on a walking tour of the wood when they came over to visit and he was so pleased to find some fired 30-06 cases and some end caps off the 60mm card mortar carrying round tubes which you could still make out the markings on. It was also a favourite place for another good friend Tudor who we lost a while back. We spent many hours walking the woods and fields around Bastogne as well as Manhay area which was of special interest to him as he knew a Welshman that had joined the US Paras and had fought at Manhay. -

I've finally had time to take some better photographs of some of the Fairchild Republic clothing I've acquired. First up is this stunning windbreaker jacket. -
