The SF Grp flash on the right is a US made Vietnam War era piece.  There was a short lived and similar US made post war flash that is slightly different before they went back to the all black flash with white border.

I can only hope you are referring to this member 😎

KurtA is a highly respected member and a longstanding member of the community. Everything he has highlighted is fact.   There are more than a few problems here. None of which have been addressed. Moral terpitude not being the slightest offense. This thread is nearing the end of its lifespan as is one member's account.  Best ABN

For someone with no skin in the game you sure are covered in it's excrement. Perhaps the gangrene smell is your breath. You are obviously not one of the intellectual persons whom you refer. To throw out such thoughtless bs takes a special kind of stupid. Yes you have offended me, but most of all you insulted this Code Talker. You really shouldn't even state anything without the proof. You sound like a mindless idiot with no experience. There are many people who can vouch for my integrity that actually have merit, unlike yourself.

The so called expert you are referring to Kurt A stomped away in a tantrum saying something about a "psychotic rabbit hole "😬

I have no skin in the game, or personally know any of the aforementioned individuals that you bring up. What is clear to me, even with my limited knowledge is that this entire charade is tasteless, disingenuous and goes against the grain of the forum.  You'll have to take my word for it, the members of this forum have integrity, and are outstanding members of the collecting community overall. Many of them have published academic material too, someone somewhere would challenge them if that wasn't the case.   This grouping if you can call it that, is just a few original items shoved together in a box. No proven connection to the individual, all unnamed and in the grand scheme of things not really worth a great deal at all.  At the end of the day; you can ask what ever you like for it, but you really shouldn't be getting all bent out of shape when when someone questions something that is unrealistic, or when your hopes and dreams of grandeur turn to dust.    Integrity speaks for itself, and I can smell gangrene.    That is all.....

I can't explain the Purple Heart being blank. I don't have the answers to that, but I have been trying to find the answer. I understand why you all would have your doubts and even negative conclusions. I don't blame you. I would probably think the same thing if I didn't know the truth. All I can say is you are all rejecting an amazing piece of history here. I regret selling the first portion of this awesome collection to such an undeserving man who didn't want it all together, even though he promised to do so if it were to be recovered. I started off with a little dishonesty trying to make more money, but I have never misled or been dishonest in anyway of what I possessed with this collection. The only thing that "might not" be original is the Purple Heart, but I do not concede that by any means.

First I would like to apologize because I was playing devil's advocate for the second part of my post. I just wanted to read the reactions and replies. I am still not clear on how you are able to definitively identify this as an army and not a Navy medal.     I am pleased that I made this post because it exposed the animosity and stubbornness many of you have toward myself and the items I have posted. There is an aggressive, cynical, and even a condescending attitude in so many of the responses. I and have accepted responsibility for being the cause of this cynicism and distrust so many of you have toward myself. I have even apologized for the poor decisions I have made to cause this.     When I originally started posting about these items I made some posts that compromised my position and created doubt in what I was claiming to posess and then sell. The only thing that could fix this situation is if the individual that purchased the collection would've posted, as he promised to do once received, that the collection was as described and authentic. Him failing to do what he promised left me in an extremely negative position.     When this box was returned to us, the first thing I attempted to do was exactly what I previously promised I would do. I contacted the buyer and have him the opportunity to acquire the rest of the collection for the beautiful exhibit he created in his museum honoring Leo Kirk. My wife and I were very pleased with what he had created. He made some claims about the box and questioned it's legitimacy, which I admit hurt my feelings. The claims all of you have made are mostly without cause. I can't help but think if the original buyer had followed through and posted he had received the collection, it was complete, and it was authentic that many of you would've had a different reaction than you did. Instead he had told me that he already reached out to the forum members and "warned" them of my intentions.    I imagine most, if not all, of the posters in this thread are friends of his and therefore were "warned" and are acting as such. I know Tom had mentioned Kurt A was a good friend whom he respected and talked to often. That makes sense given his position.     I can't even ask a question out of curiosity, or in an attempt to help me understand his conclusion of the medal being army and not navy. Especially when, to myself, the medal appears to be identical to the Navy issue. Giving such a simple conclusion stating it's army is supposed to be all he needs to say.
