The trigger group is milled and not stamped so it’s clear it’s not original to the rifle. I’m thinking that it was made by Winchester. IBM M 1 Carbines had a stamped trigger group. It’s not surprising to find that in an arsenal rebuild. They don’t call them mix masters for nothing.

      > I'd readily say he deserved his CIB, honorary or otherwise - and thought so in 2010 as well.

From what I was able to find it looks like he was with the the 15th cav and not the 113th.   https://aad.archives.gov/aad/record-detail.jsp?dt=893&mtch=1&cat=WR26&tf=F&q=39085805&bc=sl&rpp=10&pg=1&rid=7605238

So about 6 years back I got a money sink of a radio (I cobbled it together from a demilled Radio face and a Chassis of a 77A), and it turns on, squelch cuts out, my radio scanner picks up it trying to TX, but no audio comes out. Nor can I hear myself in the handset when I key up, it also does not receive from when I tested it with a working PRC-77 at an event. I don't have a God box or anything sadly so that put a wrench in things. My GRM-55 only helps so much.

Hey I'm Josh, been collecting since I was 14 give or take (26 Now), got a pretty decent collection going and I currently am trying to repair a Prc-77/77A so, anyone who can help with that would be amazing. Currently I'm working on Green beret and 1998 force recon kits and a few 80's impressions.

Honestly it use to be about 2x the size. He narrowed it down to his most rare to him items. He was buying at gun shows, antique shows, flea markets and eBay back when it first came out.

Thanks for that! Unfortunately that’s a case of ww2 stuff and if it’s not flipped to the back side it’s probably not named. There isn’t much Second World War items but his father was enlisted and he has a case for just that. I will Double check.
