There are so few of them around that it is very difficult to say with any accuracy what the fair market value would be for a spent cartridge. If I saw one for sale at a gun show with a price of $150 on it I would not be surprised. An unfired example might be worth three times that. The market is pretty limited being divided between cartridge collectors and S&W collectors. Regards, Charlie Image below credited to Ordnance. -

National Museum of Nuclear Science and History 601 Eubank Blvd SE Albuquerque, NM 87123 505-245-2137 www.nuclearmuseum.org I visited this museum in March of 2026. Plan to spend 1-2 hours to view all the exhibits. The old timer that greeted us when reentering the building from the outdoor displays has some good stories to tell about his time as a mechanic on SR71s if you stop and talk to him. -

I checked my reference and I also came up with a cut edge 139th Airborne Engineer Battalion oval (Photo 1 & 2). I also found a cut edge 12th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 8th Infantry Division oval (Photo 3 & 4). -

Kathy: Within the past year I have purchased several of the USAAF PTO fabric maps. I have never paid more than $50 for any of them. They are interesting historical items but, as you say, not particularly scarce and not in great demand. Hope that helps you. Regards, Charlie -

Easter dinner cooking is done. And I only set off our new smoke detector once 😁. Just waiting for dear daughter and hubby to arrive. They are habitually late. Soon after buying it a few years ago, I have incorporated using my 1916 mess spoon in my holidays cooking. I hope everyone is having or had a great Easter! mikie -
