Looks like a VFW pin

With my book at the recent Society of American Bayonet Collectors meeting in Baltimore, where it was well received.   Big thank you to Eric Stuyck of Mile 55 Photography and Colton Hayre for the photos.  

My grandfather fought in WW1.  I am blessed to have his uniform.  I’ve been able to identify most of the items on his uniform but for one pin.  In the attached photo on the left pocket flap is the Victory Medal Ribbon with 2 stars for the 2 campaigns in which he fought.   Below the ribbon, however, is a pin that I cannot identify.   Does anyone know what the pin signifies?  Thanks

This website has most of the Officer Registers.
