You are correct.  A friend of mine was assigned to the unit just after it was created and sent me the ovals and flashes that were created and number 2 was one of them.

. The Jeep as seen at the end of play today,   more work to be done yet both structural and knitted coverings.  We have wheels, axles, springs, seats, wheels and Tyres to do, Lyn one of the ladies did the steering wheel and column and has even done pedals she is dedicated to the project and had travelled over from the UK for the week to add the panels she had so far knitted, seen holding the steering wheel.                Norman D. . Some of the knitted flowers displayed    The young schoolgirl presenting flowers to the soldier represents a true event,  There was a medal presentation in the centre of Carentan in 1944 and the town was shelled and sadly the young flower girl was killed, the only one killed from the hundreds of troops and civilians in the town square at that time.             Norman D. . Official handover of the building today .   We did a few hours work this morning before the Mayor and dignitaries arrived to perform the official handover of the building as a permanent residence for the eighty metres of knitted panels, with lots of further work to be done to expand the experience and history of events in Normandy in 1944.    We never managed to finish the Jeep but what was there to be seen was well received and that it was a work in progress project.  What must be remembered is the work of these women volunteers that didn't have a Jeep to work from while knitted the coverture panels, for them it was all done from scaled up plans from a plastic model kit.            Norman D. Here's another Horstmann Philada. Aside from the weird abbreviation of Philadelphia, it looks like the backmark has a misstrike
