Actually, I started carrying a issued WW2 .45 when I was a spec 4 M60 gunner. When I made E6 squad leader, I put a U.S. black holster on my web and carried my personal .45. No body ever questioned it. Blue cord pack mule for Uncle Sam. lol -

I just bought a pair of sterling wings with the H in a circle. Mine have the markings on the back side of the wing and the canopy is hallowed out. I was wondering if this is any different than the ones mentioned above? The pin on mine is attached differently too. I only paid $43.00 so I think I got a good deal with them being post war but still having a nice pin on the back. -

Came across a sporterized arisaka stock recently made me cry inside... it had battle damage to the butt stock to, maybe done by a soldier during occupation? who knows. great april fools joke jerry! -

My Dad was a WWII veteran. At some point well before I was born, he bought a couple of 1917 Enfields and Springfields and sporterized them. Just like in this post. Many many years later, when I realized what we were using for hunting rifles, I cried in sorrow. . mikie
