Of course it would! Its WW2 .45 ! I would never sell it to a gun shop for $650.. They would turn it around and sell it as is for more than that.. Take a look at the 1911's for sale on this site.. https://legacy-collectibles.com/1911-pistols They are a bit high end but look em over, see what they are charging. Check out gun broker etc etc.. Then you will get a feel for what they are going for. I doubt it would take much to put the old sights back on? You have the grips. But yea its a .45... It will do the job. -

I don’t know why the German was smiling. He had a tuff row to hoe. -

Lastly is a statuette of a Greek Fisherman. I turned him into a Kriegs Marine Officer. I cut his insignia out of thick paper. Then painted them and glued em on. He had on one of those funky little Greek fishing caps so I built the cap up with modeling clay. Gave him a coat of paint and there you are. Thanks for looking. -

Next is a USAAF dude. This guy was hand carved by me and painted by me. I screwed up hi crusher so I had to pivot and make his cap out of modeling clay. -

Here are some statuettes that I have had for some time. However I had to doctor on them to make them better than they were. The first is a U.S. Paratrooper that I picked up back in the 80’s at a gun show. It needed to be repainted and his hel et needed work. So I painted the guy over and got some modeling clay and built up his helmet to look a little more normal size. I also picked up some cheese cloth and made him a helmet net. I am an 82nd fan so I painted the insignia of the 82nd and gave him a flag. I thought he looked a bit better than off the shelf.
