Thank you so much for all this information. It is very thorough and I owe you for your effort! Since Clarence is my Grandfather (I was 2 or3 when he passed), I will also assume the ring was his or he was able to obtain it in some manner. I know he was a truck driver in the service and a blacksmith by trade. He did not serve overseas. The logo with the 57 in the star is unique to anything I have been able to find. I also have this framed poster with Arthur’s name. He did spend some time overseas. Thank you for all this information. -

. Blackout lamp beach find 2008. despite searching my computer files for nearly two hours I finally found this image by chance. I found this smashed lamp on Utah beach in 2008 and recognised it as the lens and bulb for a blackout lamp as I had seen a lens previously when working on fixing a blackout lamp on a Jeep.
