Wow thats quite the impressive career and would certainly explain your knowledge. You must have quite the collection! -

I've been collecting patches for over 60 years and still buy fakes. Luckily not too often. -

Yessir, my thoughts exactly. Yes, they definitely can, and Ill do my best to make sure this stays the first and only! -

Like a scratch-off lottery ticket. And, I'd rather make a mistake paying $7 for a fake rather than passing on a $7 original. But, too many $7 misfires can add up. -

No, it's the civilian EAME campaign ribbon. The Arizona ribbon does not have horizontal stripes and the vertical stripes are wider. See here: https://insigniology.com/United-States/Arizona-National-Guard-Awards -

Figured as much. Thanks a lot! I definitely will be looking at some originals. I was only willing to take the risk since it only ran me 7 bucks and at least it looks cool haha. I appreciate it! -

Unfortunately, you have a "bad" one. Do a search on VN-made patches to see what originals look like and become familiar with them prior to making additional purchases. NO originals are made like this one. -

Hey folks, update on this intriguing photo from the family archives at a "Society of the Golden Sword" event (VFMAC's donor society, est. 1975). My dad, Lt. Col. Jean Kossarides (far right, shades and drink in hand), is there: WWII P-47, P-51 pilot, Korea test flyer (MiG shrapnel, Purple Heart, DFC), CIA whispers, NASA ties. The Facebook group ID'd the the gentleman second to the left as Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Theodore C. Mataxis, a Cold War warrior who served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and aided Afghan Mujahideen against Soviets, son of Greek immigrants, just like Dad's roots! All of a sudden I was like yes I remember that name! I have been unable to ID the gentleman on the far left. I believe the gentleman next to my father was head of the CIA at the time, but I don’t remember his name. Can anybody identify those two in individuals? I’m new here and I have apologize if I’ve posted this in the wrong group, but I searched and I didn’t know where else to post this.
