+1 to @Allan H.’s comment.     Broach is oxidized / corroded, but the drape - including the part touching the drape - is crispy white.  

Type 3 Navy's appear to have a Type 2 pendant and a drape with a slot brooch. To be honest, I don't like the drape on this medal one bit as it really looks like it has been re-ribboned. Although the front of the pendant does resemble a Type 2, the back side clearly shows that it does not have the distinctive barrel at the top. Another oddity for me is the shallow angles of the suspension ring looks a lot like someone has bent a ring to approximate that of a PH "square" suspension ring.   Allan

Hi Allan, thanks for your feedback.   I also think, based on the photos, that this one doesn't raise any red flags.   It seems to be in good condition, with some wear on the edges. Perhaps it's from being worn in a uniform.   Thanks for stopping by.   Best regards, Jo
