QUESTION re: the butt bellows pocket on P44 tousers: Some of the ones I've found for sale have the butt pocket removed (I can see where the original stitching was). Since anything carried there would not only add weight, but would make it difficult to sit on one's butt or crawl on one's back. My question is whether it was common for Marines cut those bellows pockets off (I sure would have).? Thanks, zk -

Going through stacks of 1944-45 dated photographs approved for release by the Signal Corps and or BuAer.. I pulled out a few… most are kamakazi attacks or island combat pics.. a few European theater… here are just a sample The first is actually picture captured from a Japanese soldier in 1945 taken in 1941 on Guam.. executing three Americans (?) -

7th Army botch job, a WWII one, the entire Seven Steps motif shifted when embroidered, or is it a case of the triangle was not embroidered big enough, wide enough??. -
