It doesn’t hurt to restore something that has already been restored. -

In downtown gadsden there's two stores that I know of, first is Dusty Things. Seemed OK prices were a bit high on most stuff (a beat up alice mag pouch for $27) but there Seemed to be a couple of things that were reasonable. The other store is Gadsden Variety Antique Mall, not much here and prices Seemed high. It seems to be a common thing around my area for ALL m1 helmets to be either "ww2 or Vietnam" this store was no exception a obviously last issue m1 that was missing a bail was "ww2" and priced at $50.🙄 -

Ahhh…thanks for clarifying. They are great pieces. The workmanship back in those days was impressive. -

Oh Sorry for my poor communication skills, I don't own any of them, only the original one I posted below. I remembered seeing one like yours as part of the collection that I purchased mine from. I surmised yours may have come from the same Collector/Collection -

Maybe it was worn by a Vet who put a few different badges on it for parades and stuff, there seens to have been a badge pined in the rear of the curtain too. correct? -

So you have both versions…that is great! I have seen your numerous posts on your collection. Very impressive! -

I think you are correct, unfortunately the islands are really not accessible to the general public without jumping through a lot of red tape and hurdles. That said, it would be a heck of a trip, Scott
