Laverne & Shirley In The Army in the early 60s we suppose LOL, as the series begins in the year 1958. Wearing Liners Laverne's on the right looks like legit WWII or the early 50s Korean War made ones, while Shirly's on the left a mid 50s no front grommet type, albeit with both repainted a Semi Gloss Dark-sh OD.   In this 1979 episode the story is the girls tired  of not getting promotions and or raises at the Milwaukie Brewery they both work at decide to join the Army, but in Basic they find the Army's tough and not for them after all and pull  Corporal Klinger routines to get a 4F, which apparently succeeds and both go home and get their old jobs back LOL

      1. Not sure off the top of my head 2. Those are the shortlived fully embroidered ones from the late 70s if I'm remembering right. You can find them in PO3 to PO1 as well. Not sure if chief ones were ever made though. I want to say no. 3. I think the anchor is for Midshipman if I'm remembering correctly but the spread oak leaf with 2 acorns is for the navy dental corps.

You have a nice collection. The ones with the “Merrowrd Edges”, are from the the mid 1970s, to 1980.

Good afternoon, folks  I just got a lot of like 150 of these strikers most are the typical run of the mill we always see. And Mr. Stacy's book has helped massively. There are a couple variations that i have a question about. 1. One is the back has sort of what looks like an iron on property  2. A few look to be constructed like actual patches with an embroidered border (Merrowed?) Just curious to what those variations are called (If anything special) and when they may have been used? 3. what rates are the 2 bullion ones in my pic. I know the maltase cross is a firefighter of some sort?? Thanks again for all your help
