Picked these up ina small pile of ribbons. Each one is different and quite fascinating.  The one on top is clearly a Wolf-Brown made ribbon, but I had never seen another before    Anybody seen anything similar?  

A Colorized photo, period? or Modern?   The ROCK as a Combat Patch post war. like 1946 before the Double Discs on lower lapels, on one Anthony Lopez, says he was in all the operations the 503rd made, to include Noemfoor  but that seems doubtful as it say joined up in April 1843, but the Noemfoor Drop is in July, not enough time for Basic and the AIT phase, Jump School and a Leave, unless this information is wrong  In any event, he stayed in till 1950, probably just before the start of the Korean War, photo then taken when he was probably in the 82md. thus accounting for the Rope, which might be Belgian or French. probably Belgian as its on that side.

I did find a D. Evans WW2 button. Typically weak backmark.

Ammo box Post WW2 era, post Korean War by the design. Most likely Pre to early Vietnam era. See attached picture.

If you ever want to try it, it might not be so conspicuous at the Hoi An (Vietnam) Lantern Festival that is held every evening. 🫣             I was there in November last year and it was an amazing sight, brightly coloured lanterns everywhere! 😊        

. Hi BryanJ   I am totally amazed at how long five years of manufacturing lasted as surplus pretty much all over the globe. It was great fun following leads and to discover stashes of it wherever.    However around 1999 / 2000 I had someone phone me up and try to sell me WWII USMC camouflaged poncho's,  during the conversation I asked how many he had,  the reply was 2,000, I thanked him and said I didn't need any, he couldn't understand why not.   I explained to him they were a limited market, I probably sold about four a year and he would be selling them to just about every dealer possible, the market would be flooded I wouldn't even then be able to sell four a year after that.  Now if he had been selling M1 helmets, M41 jackets, or M42 para jackets now that would have been a different thing.    Norman D. . Hi earlymb,   thanks for showing that French made one end of WWII,  I never found one of these.   I did however find over the years several WWI French made ones. I once found one in Jim's militaria at Plano outside Chicago, I hid it again for a collecting friend Dan in Chicago to pick it up later, I didn't tell him I hid it for him, I just told him where he would be able to find one, he thought I had some sort of mystical powers enabling me to locate things.     Norman D.
