I happen to agree with your four points. The United States has crossed this bridge many times, just change the names, Lets look at this in the context of the Civil War. Point one, change the name to the Conferderacy. Point two, Call them the underground rail road. Point three, Call that the Emancipation Proclamation. Point four, call that reunification. I know people will want to pick at this, but this hypothetical pairs up well. Point one, Grant and Sherman understood this. The war was brutal attrition and denial. Close shipping with blocades, capture rail road hubs, siege towns. Sherman's drive to the sea destroyed everything else of use. Sherman wanted to make Georgia howl, and he did. Point two, This is the murky one due to it's clandestine nature. Mossad has been neck deep in the Republic of Iran for some time. We know they armed insurgents in Gaza to fight what is left of Hamas in Gaza. I see no reason why that can't play in the Republic of Iran. Look at it as the underground railroad in reverse. Point three, No one wants those people back in power, Not the Arab states, not the Isrealis, not the United States and for sure not the people of Iran. Point four, Because we dropped the ball post Cival War it took us 100 years to come to terms with Jim Crow and the rest of the crap. It took the civil rights movement of the 60's to start clean that mess up. IMHO we should of hung leaders of the Confederacy for treason. Point four, all we can do is our level best to clean the room and open the door. As I understand it, out of 90 million people only 5 million are hard core. The Iranian people have the numbers and the will to fight. The regime people with money and brains are already going to England, Canada and Austrailia. To the countries that let them in, good luck, That is on you. As for those regime people left in Iran...What the Iranian people do with them is up to the Irainians. I would expect Nurumburg type trils all over the place.

Hi Kat, Beast and Salvage,  this one looks even better as the chips have been fried a little longer, and you can see the breads been more liberally spread with extra butter an important ingredient, as is the soft bread and the correct amount of salt and malt vinegar.     The link leads to a recipe for creating a British chip butty, with the writer expounding an interesting read on the subject and the recipe.   https://www.seriouseats.com/chip-butty-recipe-8605263       Norman D. I just picked up a few Pre-WWII and WWII uniforms that were used at the US Detention Barracks at Ft. Worth Kansas during the 1940's. These have been dyed brown over the olive drab. A couple still have the pre-war gas flaps. I would love to find out if they can be re-dyed olive drag, maybe after bleaching out the brown? One is a rare XL size, fits me. Would it be worth the trouble? The USDB did not know these even still existed when I contacted them. The USDB now has a set that they plan on putting on display. Would these be worth anything as is?

“The easiest way to determine how much your 14K gold is worth is to weigh it in grams and multiply that by $91 which is what a gram of 14K gold is worth at the moment.   I don’t know what this medal is worth above its gold value.“.    his is actually not true, most people think this too but it is definitely not true.  Gold may be at $91 a gram for 14k but who would pay you $91 a gram?   I sell gold and silver quite regularly and the best I get is 85% of spot, the guy I sell to sells it to a refinery and they give him 93% which is very good. You may be able to se up a private individual who is hoarding hold but no one will pay you spot,  they have to make a living too

Wow thank you so much for all your information and resources! I am delighted that you concur with my theory about this medal. I also thought the engraving looked like it could be the same hand. I especially appreciate your leads on Robert Nelson and your research referrals. Much needed by me.   I've been a reader of the forum for years and this mystery finally pushed me to join, thank you! If I can return your hospitality, please let me know. And, I will take you up on your offer if I get down to Whittier again, as long as the rest of the rounds are on me. Same offer to you if you are ever in the Sacramento area.
