This "war" / "not war" discussion is political.   Everything you stated in your last response to a forum member is based on one political side of the story.      I do not want to get into a political discussion on here. Just suffice it to say I disagree with your response. I believe this thread needs to be closed.    IMO this is not a discussion on military tactics....

I have a WW1 battlefield pick-up Gew 98 brought home by an Army Ordnance Sergeant. His job was combing the battlefields for enemy material to be analyzed to glean any intelligence data. Apparently, when the analysis was done he got a lot of stuff home. It came with an ersatz bayonet attached.

Just my opinion, and I would wait for others before deciding:   Something about the drape looks off to me.  Specifically, it looks bright / clean (when compared to the ribbon next to it) and looks a little long.

Hi guys,   As a WW2 USA medal collector I have been seeking a purple heart medal for a long time.   I have come across this Purple heart and was wondering if anyone could confirm if this a WW2 Compatible Purple Heart and if it would be a appropriate in my WW2 medal collection.   It has the slot brooch which I believe is a good sign. I am aware that due to the planned invasion of Japan many Purple hearts were produced and some were awarded decades after the war.   Overall based on the style of the case and the medal itself should I purchase this Purple Heart for my WW2 collection?   Thanks so much for any thoughts.

. Hi mikie,   I am also a Sherlock Holmes fan, this is the vintage lamp in my shower room I had decorated with the Sherlock Holmes address.       Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 19 March  2O26.   …
