It could be a low order HE round but most likely an M60 WP which don't fragment the body like a high explosive round. The central burster just need to break it open and let the phosphorus out. I have similar M15 grenade bodies and an M57 81mm WP mortar that are split open like that. Nice piece. -

The wings appear to be made from AAF wings with the parachute from regular jump wings added
