Just some of my submarine related items. This was for the submarines commissioning on March 15, 1938, at the Portsmouth Navy Yard. Under the command of Lieutenant L. N. Blair, it served extensively during World War II, earning 12 battle stars. It famously completed 16 war patrols, the most of any U.S. Navy submarine. The vessel operated in the Pacific, including the Philippines, and was later sold for scrap in 1947. Pearl Harbor Submarine Base, Territory of Hawaii. This Price Muselite lighter still winds up and plays music. It's been awhile so I don't remember what song. The USS Bumper (SS-333) was a Balao-class submarine launched in 1944 that served in World War II, earning one battle star. It performed two war patrols in the Pacific, primarily in the Bungo-Suido Straits, before serving as a training vessel and later being transferred to the Turkish Navy in 1950 and served Turkey until she was decommissioned on August 11, 1976. -

Greetings, Figured I would contribute with some WWI AEF-related baseball material. Recently got a grouping attributed to a Railroad Transportation Corps doughboy which included numerous pictures of baseball games, US teams and a Inter-Allied sports program from 1919: US Baseball Team Any thoughts as to what meaning is to the markings on the players? Note the different lettered caps Camp GM Dodge Baseball Field East of Saint Nazaire, France Best Regards, -J.D. -
