This looks like an AI summary. Rosco, on my patch, was the pilot's name. Nothing to do with the project name. Randy -

I'm still puzzled by the origin of this (presumably) U.C. bayonet I picked up somewhere (gun show?) some time ago. The serial number on the ricasso has me stumped. I've read that normally the presence of a serial number on a U.C. bayonet suggests it is a foreign (Italian, Norwegian, Danish, Argentinian, etc.) return of a post-war used bayonet. I haven't been able to locate any other distinguishing marks that would indicate it had been overseas. The serial number is seven digits, not the five or six I've heard is the norm, and the numbers are stamped uniformly and fairly straight. The "1" in the serial number is of interest, because it lacks the little flag at the top. Any thoughts? I've asked elsewhere about serial number ranges for post-war bayonets but have been informed that no substantial data base exists for them. -

Yes a rare Korean War patch. 15th TRS and Project Honey Bucket: Project Name: Known as "Rosco 15 Honey Buckets". Aircraft: The unit utilized Japan-modified RF-86 Sabres, with only 6 produced. Operational Locations: Bases included Komaki, Japan, along with Taegu AB (K-2) and Kimpo AB (K-14) in South Korea. Role: The 15th TRS provided specialized tactical photo reconnaissance during the Korean War. -

Agree with KurtA, it’s a cast copy of Robbin’s type pilot wing. It doesn’t have the right pin attachment either Keith -
