Found another topic https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/217105-desert-tan-lc-2-alice-webbing The one in the photo above may be the same as the one here. But the one I saw was a bit more orange tan. -

His department of veteran affairs death file indicates he enlisted on September 1st, 1919 and discharged on September 1st, 1949. Although his grave indicates he was a veteran of the First World War so he had a prior enlistment. -

Here's a named, 1950's, LOM that recently sold on ShopGW. Named to: Robert L. Wright. Interesting that the medal is named, but the award document that was included in the auction is for the AF Commendation Medal. -

Brasso's Naval Cousin Nevr-Dull "Shining Brightwork" - The almost daily drudgery of Seamen in port during working hours on the Bridge, Pilot House, Quarterdeck, Bells, Binnacles, Clocks, Ship's Wheel, Portholes, Porthole Covers, Sound Powered Phone boxes, Phone Cradles, Gauges, Meters, Growler, Alidades, Railings, Turnbuckles, "Fancy Crap", Scuppers, Repeat, Repeat, never ending... Fingers and nails always covered with tarnish and vertigris, never getting the odor off of them until you put to sea again. Flashbacks.....Way to Kill a nice day in Retirement dudes..... -

I have the same experience with AI. A little entertaining and agree misleading. I almost think it is programmed to tell a reader shat he wants to hear. Even if asked same questions at a different time, it comes up with different answers. Although, I have learned a few things from its rambling. Thanks for the post guys. -

Is this also a 1866 pattern petty officer patch? The tilted anchor and eagle's lifted tail are different from the usual stencil I have seen. -
