I'm pretty sure that's the 77th SF Group: -

Final update for tonight: Close-up of the ribbon bar and insignia. Confirmed the Asiatic-Pacific ribbon with battle star (Midway/Yorktown), the American Campaign (Tuscaloosa/FDR), and his Philippine Liberation. Also have his gold bullion Medical Corps and Lieutenant rank pins. The 1935 Good Conduct medal is officially engraved with his name. -

Some more photos from various documents. My father, whom shares the same name, said his father only spoke about the wars once and said he treated FDR. -

I’ve spent the night digging through the Officer’s Qualification Record Jacket I found, and I think I’ve officially confirmed the family story about him serving FDR. I found several documents from the USS Tuscaloosa (CA-37), including his promotion to Chief Pharmacist's Mate on February 16, 1940—which was the second day of the President's famous 'Southern Cruise' to the Panama Canal. I also found a Plan of the Day from October 1939 signed by Commander Joseph Redman (the future Admiral), who was the XO of the Tuscaloosa at the time. Here are some photos of the 'new' finds, including a candid of him in San Juan in 1940. -

It is a Belgian M51 helmet liner. These light blue liners are known to have been used by the Gendarmerie but I have yet to see any proof of them being used by the Airforce. -

If it is European this could help you identify it.https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/188788-us-m-1-vs-euro-clone-helmet-components-guide/ Also I've seen some Belgian liners that look similar, think blue indicates airforce but I'm not sure. -

Don't be. Wing was for sale on eBay. The manufacturer is rare, but made after WWII. The seller wrote in his description that the star at the top had broken off.
