Agree with the comments above on originality and price…. the Marine served stateside during WWI and got out May 1919. -

I missed this the first time around. Any service items to Black submariners during WWII are very scarce. I highly recommend the book Black Submariners in The United States Navy for further reference. Growing up I knew Magnus Wade, a former submarine mess man who also rose through the post war ranks. -

I like these early WW1 square tags. This set belonged to an Ohio soldier who served with the 2nd Ambulance Company, 1st Infantry Division and he has a super low serial #! -
