I am going to be selling this sheath and was curious of its value in this condition. The leather is not in too bad a shape. It is still pliable and will accept a knife no problem. The staplers are breaking away however, though still attached barely. -

If you are going to use ai you could at least be honest and admit that you did and that you don't actually know much about the item. -

Cool. Would you "restore" it or leave it as-is? Dave -

Have a buddy at a local gun store that had this and sold it to me for $24. Thought it was not a bad price. From what little research I can do, it looks to me like a type 2 M1 sling that was made from 1943-45. Any thoughts if this is a real WW2 sling that would be correct for my 1944 M1 Garand? Unfortunately if it was marked at some point it is no longer on it. -

I don't know of Korean War laundry number records that are available. However, most citations are available online. I think you could sort the lists by conflict (Korea) and then go through the last names of "B" looking for any hits with the 32nd Inf Reg and corporal. Conversely there might be a master list from the 32nd Infantry Regiment somewhere. I would bet you could get a hit within an hour or two of looking. This should be easy. -

Looks more air base unit/maintenance related to me. The octopus appears to be holding a couple tools (plus a bunch of unidentifiables). You see the octopus in some support insignia so they can demonstrate their diversity. Just an opinion. Past that, I never saw this one before Steve, sorry. Randy -
