When I was younger I just liked history, somewhere along the way I found out you could buy old stuff and I thought that was awesome. Later on I eventually ended up with a couple of small things like a pair of plastic canteens, It was Not much, it all fit on one small shelf. Then one day I went to a trift store and found this. It's nothing much, just a plain acu that happened to be my size. But it got me interested and made me realize that I could find things at trift stores cheap. Trying to look things up that I had found is what introduced me to the hobby. though I only recently made an account here I first found this forum probably 2 years ago trying to research ww2 m1 helmets. I then realized there was a whole community for this hobby and I begin reading on this forum a lot. I often found this forum to be very helpful when I was trying to learn about things like m1956 or BDU'S, so I'm happy to be able to be an member here now, and I hope to keep learning from it and the people on. -

The step holes are meant for assemble. you start in the inner most hole on both sides. then move one end to the outer hole. The other end was then pulled out and slid over into the outer to tighten it. it was supposed to make it less of a hassle to assemble. -
